For hotel, holiday rental and hospitality photographers

Your photos are on Booking.com. Your invoice is still open.

You delivered the shoot, the hotel went live with it the same week — and your invoice is still waiting two months later. It doesn’t have to work that way.

Sound familiar?

Every hotel job ends the same way.

Delivered, published, unpaid

You send the finals by WeTransfer. Two days later they are on Booking.com, the hotel website and Instagram. Your invoice sits in accounts, waiting for a signature from someone on holiday. You have no leverage left — they already have everything.

Five people, no final version

Marketing writes by email, the owner sends a WhatsApp voice note, the general manager calls about “the pool picture”. Someone forwards an old version to the agency. Nobody knows which edit is the current one — and you are the one who has to sort it out.

“Could you just quickly …”

The fourth correction round. Then the fifth. Each one “only takes a minute”. None of them was in the quote, and saying no feels like losing the client.

Why it keeps happening

It’s not the hotel. It’s how the files travel.

A download link hands over everything at once — before anyone has approved or paid. Feedback has no fixed place, so it arrives wherever the person happens to be typing. And because nobody sees the rounds piling up, every extra request looks small.

You can’t fix that with a firmer email. You fix it by changing the order: review first, pay second, files last.

The fix

Review first. Pay second. Files last.

Handover.photo puts the whole hotel job behind one link. The team sees watermarked proofs, says what they want changed on the image itself, approves — and the full resolution files only unlock once you have confirmed the payment.

Nothing goes live unpaid

Until you confirm the payment, the hotel only has watermarked previews at reduced resolution. Nothing they could put on a booking site.

One place for every opinion

Marketing, the owner and the general manager open the same link. Every note sits on the image it is about. One current version, visible to everyone.

Every round on record

Each correction round is a new, visible version in the same gallery. When “just quickly” turns into round five, you both can see it — and the conversation about scope gets easy.

A hotel job, start to finish

Your contact shares it with whoever needs to see it. Nobody signs up.

Questions

What photographers ask before they start.

Can several people at the hotel review the same gallery?

Yes. Your contact shares the link with marketing, the owner or an agency. Everyone sees the same previews and leaves notes on the images. Nobody needs to sign up.

Can the hotel use the previews before paying?

Not in any useful way. Previews are watermarked on the server and shown at reduced resolution. The full resolution files stay locked until you confirm the payment.

How does the hotel pay?

Directly to you. You store your bank details, PayPal link or Bitcoin address once, and each becomes a payment button in the gallery. We never take a share of your fee.

Does it work for holiday rentals and Airbnb hosts?

Yes. A host with one apartment or a management company with forty works the same way: one link, review, approval, payment, download.

Where are the photos stored?

On European servers. Originals are never publicly reachable, and every download link is signed and expires.
